GRAVES DISEASE AND EXOPTHALMUS -A MASK FOR MENINGIOMA.

2021
We present extremely rare case of a female patient with the coincidence of Graves orbitopathy and meningioma. The patient was hospitalized due to exacerbations of the Graves disease and symptoms of orbitopathy. Despite the treatment, no significant improvement was observed - diagnostics was extended and imaging studies were performed. Another cause of the ocular symptoms was revealed - meningioma was diagnosed on the basis of CT examination of the orbits, MRI of the head and orbit. This case illustrates the importance of careful attention of treatment and monitoring even despite the most typical course of disease - and if necessary to accelerate and extend the treatment with additional tests.
