Collaborative position paper of the Gesellschaft fur Neuropsychologie e.V. (GNP) and the Bundesverband ambulant-teilstationare Neurorehabilitation e. V. (BV ANR) about discharge management in acute care hospitals and rehabilitation clinics leading to subsequent outpatient treatment after acquired brain injury (especially traumatic brain injury) Abstract. This position paper addresses to neurological, neurosurgical and accident surgical acute care hospitals as well as neurological rehabilitation clinics. It is meant to help facilitate the transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment for people with acquired brain injury, to close treatment gaps and to prevent termination of treatment.
