Hydroformylation of allyl alcohol in the presence of modified rhodium catalysts

1993
Reactions of hydroformylation of allyl alcohol and propene differ considerably. Thus certain peculiar features have been observed in the kinetic mechanisms of hydroformylation of propene and allyl alcohol in the presence of HRh(CO)(PPh) 3 [1, 2]; these include intense oxidation of the PPh 3 contained in the rhodium catalyst under the action of the OH group of allyl alcohol [3], and also differences in regioselectivity when these substrates are used
