TOTAL PRODUCTIVE MAINTENANCE NUMA LINHA DE PINTURA UV NA INDÚSTRIA MOVELEIRA

The article reports the implementation of total productive maintenance in an ultraviolet painting line, which is part of the production process of a furniture industry located in southern Parana state. The purpose of this tool is to reduce downtime due to equipment maintenance, synchronization between administrative areas and production, the technical development of employees and the stability of the process involving the equipment. Specific objectives are: to provide stability in the production process of the equipment under study, to synchronize the support areas and the production, to stimulate the technical development of the collaborators and to guide the reduction of the machine mean time between failures (MTBF) index. This is a case study in which nine steps were applied, a methodology developed for the best effectiveness on the equipment studied and can be multiplied for other machine models. With the concept of the TWI training tool, a procedure for project execution was adapted, which showed a 44.8% improvement in machine availability, resulting in a 22 percentage point increase in its efficiency (OEE) in the production process;
