Photosensitized oligo(carbonate methacrylate) polymerization in the presence of triethylamine and benzophenone derivatives

1999
Using the method of sensitometric dilatometry, the kinetics of the layer-by-layer photosensitized bulk polymerization of OKM-2 oligo(carbonate methacrylate) was studied depending on the chemical nature of the photosensitizer (benzophenone derivatives) and accelerator (triethylamine). It was found that the chemical nature of the substituents in benzophenone and their electron-proton-acceptor properties affect the rate of OKM-2 photopolymerization.
