Research for the Ecological Characteristics of the Food Zooplankton in Sansha Bay,Fujian Province

Based on 4 cruises seasonal data of investigation on February,May.August and November,2007 in Sansha Bay,Fujian Province,the research focused on the ecological characteristics of the food zooplankton.82 species of food zooplankton were identified. The mean value of biomass was 94.52 mg/m~3,which accounted for 90.21%of total zooplankton biomass.The biomass in spring and autumn were greater than in summer and winter,and its distribution showed different features with seasonal variation.The features of seasonal variation and distribution of abundance for food zooplankton were similar to biomass.The high diversity index and uniformity index showed the stability of food zooplankton community.Paracalanus parvus was the dominant species in Sansha Bay in each season.
