MR Imaging in Postreduction Assessment of Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip: Goals and Obstacles

The role of MR imaging in postoperative assessment of developmental dysplasia of the hip is reviewed, including examination technique and suggestions for image optimization, identification of major obstacles to hip reduction with discussion of relevant anatomy, and utility of intravenous contrast material in assessing risk for future osteonecrosis.
