Disproportionation of Norbornene Derivatives.

1. The thermal disproportionation of the diene adducts of cyclopentadiene with vinyl acetate, allyl acetate, allyl alcohol, and acetylene has been observed. 2. A two-step scheme is proposed, the limiting step of which is retrodiene decomposition of the starting compounds.
