The invention relates to a luggage case safety monitoring method and a luggage case safety monitoring device. The luggage case safety monitoring method comprises the following steps: establishing a wireless communication connection with a target luggage case; acquiring a wireless communication connection state; and under a condition that the wireless communication connection state is disconnection, giving out an alarm which indicates that the distance with the target luggage case is greater than a threshold distance. By virtue of the luggage case safety monitoring method disclosed by the invention, under the condition that the distance between the target luggage case and terminal equipment is greater than a threshold distance, the wireless communication connection between the terminal equipment and the target luggage case is disconnected, and the terminal equipment gives out an alarm so as to remind a user of paying attention to check the target luggage case, so that the target luggage case can be prevented from being lost or stolen.
