Valoración agroecológica de las micorrizas vesículo arbúsculares

The article shows the results of the assessment made on mycorrhizae in the framework of agroecology, taking into account the experiences in different latitudes. Agroecology proposes a comprehensive and sustainable approach to farming systems and then arbuscular mycorrhizae are shown as a useful alternative for sustainable agriculture. The methodology is documentary research, as well as the contribution of academic experience, research management and systems thinking of the authors. The results suggest that this alternative biofertilization in agricultural practice does not have a broad representation in most of the countries of Latin America, even when multiple positive effects of arbuscular mycorrhizae in plants, soil and environment are recognized in overall, while there is little technological development for the production of this biofertilizer, poor promotion and dissemination, as well as insufficient training to farmers, constitute challenges to overcome to consolidate this environmentally friendly alternative
