The invention discloses an initiative elevator self-inspection device which comprises an initiative detection control module, a signal acquisition module and a signal processing and communication module, wherein the initiative detection control module controls an elevator compartment to simulate manned running after a self-inspection instruction issued by the signal processing and communication module is received; the signal acquisition module acquires various state signals during the operation of an elevator when the initiative detection control module controls the elevator compartment to simulate the manned running; and the signal processing and communication module judges whether the elevator has a fault or not according to the various state signals and transmits the fault information to a service platform end if the elevator has the fault, and the fault information or a self-inspection report is transmitted by the server platform end to a quality supervision department or a property department or maintenance personnel. By adopting the initiative elevator self-inspection device, the periodic initiative self-inspection of the elevator can be realized, and manual intervention is not needed during the self-inspection process, so that on one hand, the manpower cost is reduced; and on the other hand, the fault of the elevator is discovered in time by virtue of the regular self-inspection, and probable elevator safety accidents can be effectively reduced.
