The invention relates to a compartment internal environmental change real-time detection and communication device used for the refrigeration van transporting process and a detection method thereof. The detection device comprises a main processing module, a cloud-terminal communication module, a sensing unit communication module, a GPS positioning module, an RFID read-write module, a barcode scanning module and a storage module. The detection device and the detection method are used for three main links of loading, transporting and unloading in refrigeration goods transporting. An internet of things technology is utilized, multiple types of data transmission modules of RS485, Zigbee and GPRS are fused, information contained in an RFID tag and a barcode can be read and the refrigeration van can be positioned through GPS. A sensing network and a wireless communication network are communicated so that detection of multiple environmental parameters of refrigeration compartment internal temperature and humidity, gas pressure and air speed and air amount of a compressor air outlet/return port can be realized, the goods loaded in the compartment, compartment internal environmental parameter change and the van position can be monitored in real time, and the whole course of the refrigeration transporting process is monitored in real time.
