Genetic analysis of yellow rust resistance of Chuanmai 107 in Mexico.

Inheritance of yellow rust resistance in Chuanmai 107,a slow-rusting wheat variety widely cultivated in southwest of China during last decade,was analyzed under artificially inoculated field epidemic in Toluca Experiment Station of CIMMYT,Mexico by using 148 F5 RILs(random inbred lines) derived from the cross 'Chuanmai 107×Avocet-YrA'.The result indicated that there were 6 minor genes related independently to yellow rust resistance of Chuanmai 107 and that an accumulation of 4-5 of the genes could make good resistance up to HR or IM.
