Trapping effect of yellow sticky board on the insect pests of vegetable and the application to the monitoring population of striped flea beetle Phyllotreta striolata (F.)

Yellow sticky boards were used to trap the insect pests of vegetable and natural enemy, the result indicated that the yellow sticky board had different trapping effects on aphid, striped flea beetle, miner and parasite. Vertical distribution is different among different insect pests. The number of aphid increased with board height, but striped flea beetle and miner were opposite. The yellow sticky board could be used to monitor the population of striped flea beetle. The population dynamics of striped flea beetle based on yellow sticky board was parallel with that based on the traditional method of field investigation .
