Adaptive Algorithm for Synchronous-Asynchronous Radio Transmission System Operation

This article presents the results of studies aimed at improving the functioning algorithm of a synchronous-asynchronous radio transmission notifications system (RTNS) in order to improve the availability and reliability of information exchange between objects and the base station of the central security point (CSP). Improved accessibility is achieved by reducing the likelihood of internal temporal collisions arising from the simultaneous radio emission of several radio transmitters (object blocks) of the RTNS.To prevent temporary collisions, we suggest that a temporary scan of the object transceivers of the RTNS should be formed in a special way allowing the neighboring objects located in the radio-visibility zone of each other enter the transmission mode sequentially. When forming time windows for the operation of an object transmitter, a technological pause is provided, after which a test requests is sent. An object radio transmitter does not send a test requests if another object unit starts transmitting an alarm or service notification to its time window. The adaptability of the algorithm means that the formation of a sequence of interrogation of object transceivers on the basis of connectivity matrices is formed by object blocks.Connectivity matrices are formed basing on the quality assessment for communication between object blocks, which corresponds to the binding to the topology of the placement of object blocks and the electromagnetic environment at the objects. The calculations show that the proposed synchronous-asynchronous algorithm surpasses the asynchronous one-way mode of operation of the RTNS in terms of the actual load of the radio channel.
