High-chrome cast iron surfacing welding material and technique

1995
The build-up welding material of high-Cr cast iron features relatively lower C and Cr contents and addition of Mo and V elements that promote formation of ferrite-base hypoeutectic high-Cr cast iron alloy, which maintains higher plasticity and toughness while has higher strength and hardness. Build-up welding slot and edge transition are used to effectively prevent stripping and increase antiwear ability. The material may be used in the areas where there are high-stress and impact wear.
