Calculation of Energetic Characteristics of Chemical Oxygen-Iodine Laser for Homogeneous Field Resonators

A theoretical model of the chemical oxygen-iodine laser (COIL), elaborated in works [1] and [2] allows to reveal the energetic characteristics dependence upon a great number of the active medium and resonator parameters. In the present work on the basis of reasonable assumptions a similarity criterion is introduced by means of which a laser efficiency can be easiby calculated. The elaborated approach makes it possible to reduce numerous dimensional parameters of the active medium resonator to several non-dimensional parameters. The optimization of the resonator length down the flow is also carried out.
