Children’s Rights in the Digital Environment

In March 2021, the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child formally adopted its General Comment No. 25 on the Rights of the Child in relation to the Digital Environment. The General Comment strongly focusses on the child’s right to privacy and data protection. In this talk, Eva Lievens presents how this right is challenged, how the EU legislator attempts to protect this right and how children feel about it.
