Amphiphilic cyclic fullerene bisadducts: Synthesis and Langmuir films at the air-water interface

Abstract Amphiphilic C 60 bisadducts with a polar head-group located atop the carbon sphere and pendant long alkyl chains have been prepared. Preliminary investigations have shown their ability to form stable Langmuir films at the air-water interface.
