Plant shaped antenna with trigonometric half sine tapered leaves for THz Applications

Abstract A plant shaped antenna with wide band characteristic is presented for THz applications. The antenna consists of six sinusoidal tapered leaves and partial ground. The antenna design started with two leaves and numbers of leaves are increased up to six for the final prototype. The leaves are sinusoidal tapered. The antenna achieves wide bandwidth from 1.12THz- 10.02 THz with maximum gain of 18.66 dBi at 7.5 THz.
