Virtual Learning Laboratory about Query Optimization against XML Data

This paper describes the development of a virtual learning laboratory; the system is intented to be used by undergraduate students which learn about query optimization against XML data. The virtual lab is based on Open Source data collections that contain teaching materials about Databases and it is characterized by the safety and transparent control offered by the environments used in the connected learning.
