Risk factor analysis and preventive measures of nosocomial infection in ophthalmologic in-patients

Objective:To explore the risk factors of nosocomial infection in ophthalmologic in-patients.Some considerations about prevention and treatment were discussed. Methods:To investgated and analyzed the sensitive factors of nosocomial infection in ophthalmologic in-patients retrospectively from 1999 to 2005. Results:There were 220 ophthalmologic in-patients.6 cases complicated nosocomial infection were 2.73% of the total in-patients. The risk factors of nosocomial infection included :age , complications,the duration of hospitalization , operation , etc. Conclusion:The correct manipulation in operation for ophthalmologic and appropriate medication after operation can decrease the incidence rate and degree for nosocomial infection.
