Izolacja więzienna jako sytuacja trudna a aleksytymia

The purpose of the research was to determine whether the emotions experienced by the inmates differ depending on the end of isolation perspectives. It was assumed that in the analysed sample there will be high level of alexithymia. Study 1 included 88 male inmates, Study 2 included 58 female inmates. The subjects have been divided into three groups according to end of isolation perspectives defined as the beginning, middle or end of the incarceration period. It was found that the level of alexithymia among male inmates and female inmates is high and differs depending on the end of isolation perspectives. Analyses have indicated that in the group of male inmates there were significant differences in the frequency of experiencing basic emotions depending on the end of isolation perspectives.
