The present invention relates to an unmanned vehicle remote control system and method, which enables an unmanned vehicle capable of automatic point-to-point navigation control, such as an unmanned aerial vehicle or an unmanned vessel, to be remotely controlled in a stable manner over a wide area through a smart terminal. The present invention can be easily linked with an unmanned vehicle while supporting various protocols by connecting a general-purpose smart terminal to a dedicated control unit used for vehicle operation control and implementing an exclusive application in the corresponding smart terminal, can provide automatic navigation operation control or real-time video and condition monitoring through the linkage with the vehicle, can easily reset and recover a sensor, hardware, or software applied to the vehicle when malfunction thereof occurs, and can change software or settings during the operation of the vehicle.
