ANALYSIS OF THE PRIVATE PHARMACY STAFFS' KNOWLEDGE ABOUT TB AND HEALTH EDUCATION

[Objective]To learn the TB related knowledge and the situation of health education on TB among the staffs from private pharmacies,thus to identify the existing problems and explore the measures to settle the problems.[Methods]Qualitative methods were mainly used in this study such as in-depth interview,key informant interviews and so on. The data were analysed by thematic framework analysis.[Results]The knowledge about TB of staffs in pharmacies was poor and the education about TB provided for them were nearly not implemented.[Conclusion]Pharmacies are often the first place of contaction when a person with early unspecific symptoms of TB seeks for help from health services,so the health education towards staffs in pharmacies is feasible and necessary,which imperatively needs to be improved.
