The function prediction and identification results show that the ZmLRT gene is one of precursors of miR166, is subjected to high-abundance expression in a root system, and is subjected to overexpression in arabidopsis thaliana and corn, so that the growth and development of lateral roots can be effectively inhibited, and new data and materials are accumulated for deeply studying the molecular regulation mechanism of the growth and development of a corn root system.
