Modification and Revamp of BOF Converter B at Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH

When Salzgitter Flachstahl commissioned its new converter B in April 2007, the converter capacity increased by more than 20%. The new vessel geometry led to significant improvements, including less slopping, longer lining lifetime and higher yields.
