Use of isothiazole carboxamides to provide potential host defenses in plants

2011
The present invention relates to a novel use of isothianyl or thiazinyl for inducing potential host defenses in plants. In particular, the present invention relates to the use of isotianil or thiazinyl to elicit potential defenses of a host that is activated when subjected to phytopathogenic pathogens or pest attacks or abiotic stress. The invention further relates to the induction of a host's potential defense in a plant comprising priming the plant's endogenous disease resistance mechanism.
