Joining of non-oxide ceramics for high-temperature applications

In this study, joining methods have been developed that will be used to generate complex shapes. The objective of this research is to develop reliable techniques to join Si{sub 3}N{sub 4} to Si{sub 3}N{sub 4} and SiC to SiC without affecting the attractive material properties inherent in these non-oxide ceramics.
