PURPOSE: A spot survey method of road layers using a vehicle MMS(Mobile Mapping System) for building of a digital map is provided to minimize artificial errors, thereby calculating an accurate work result and improving work efficiency in an editing process. CONSTITUTION: A spot survey method of road layers using a vehicle MMS for building of a digital map is as follows. Actual coordinates of image data obtained by vehicle MMS and LiDAR(Light Detection and Ranging) point data are calculated by an outer orientation element direct georeferencing method(201). Color information corresponding to the positions of individual points of the LiDAR point data is extracted from the image data(202). A point corresponding to a road area with respect to the LiDAR point data is classified(203). The accuracy of the road layers of mapping data is confirmed and modified by an overlap comparison of the classified road area point and the mapping data(204).
