Hubungan Addiction Internet Terhadap Tingkat Konsentrasi Dalam Belajar Anak Usia Remaja

Internet Addiction is defined as a syndrome characterized by frequent spending time to open the internet and cannot control when using the internet. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship of internet addiction to the level of concentration in learning teenage children at Hang Tuah 1 High School of Surabaya. This study uses an analytic observational method with a Cross-sectional approach. The study population of all students in Hang Tuah 1 High School of Surabaya amounted to 1164 students who have screened as many as 200 students. Using a measuring instrument in the form of an Internet Addiction Test and Grid Concentration Test questionnaire. The sampling technique uses Probability Sampling by using Simple Random Sampling of 93 students. Based on the results of the Spearman Rho test obtained p = 0.001 where the value of p <α = 0.05 means that there is a relationship between internet addiction to the level of concentration in learning teenage children. The implication of this study is that the more often a person experiences internet addiction, the lower the concentration level in learning so that adolescents with internet addiction can be given therapy and giving counseling to limit the intensity of internet usage.
