En el Archivo del Obispado de Catamarca se halla un documento eclesiastico de 1764, la llamada “Informacion Juridica sobre la Historia de la Virgen del Valle”, que pretendemos a traves de este articulo revalorizar, difundir y analizar mediante un estudio critico y socio-historico. El estudio critico busca describir, desde las ciencias paleografico-diplomaticas las caracteristicas intrinsecas del soporte, tintas, escritura, formulismos y autores del documento. Por otro lado, el analisis socio-historico indagara en la descripcion y valoracion de un aspecto de la infomacion socio-biografica de los testigos y actores nombrados en la fuente. Asi, mediante la herramienta genealogica se estableceran nliaciones, parentescos y familias de la elite de San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca en la segunda mitad del siglo XVIII. Abstract From the Archive of theDiocesis of Catamarca was found an ecclesiastical document from 1764, the “Informacion Juridica sobre la Historia de la Virgen del Valle”. The aim of this article is to revalue, to dinuse and a nalyze through both, a critical and social-historical study, that document. The critical study describes - from the paleographic science and diplomatic science - the intrinsic characteristics of supports, inks, writing, formalisms, and authors of the document. On the other side, the social-historical study will inquire into the description and assessment of one aspect of the social biographic information of witnesses and actors named in the source. Thus, through genealogical method it will be established allegiances, partnerships and families of the elite of “San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca” during the second half of the 18th century.
