A NOVEL GROUP DECISION MAKING APPROACH TO PRIORITIZE ENGINEERING CHARACTERISTICS IN QFD PROCESS BASED ON EXPERTS’ VOTE

2016
Quality function deployment (QFD) has been widely used as useful design tool to translate voice of customer requirements to engineering characteristic in the design and development product. Identification of important weight customer requirement and prioritizing design requirements in QFD process is very importance and lead to successful in market competitive and satisfaction customer. A Data envelopment analysis and TOPSIS method is proposed to prioritizing customer requirements (CRs) and engineering characteristics (ECs). Determining relation between CRs and ECs and how imposed importance weight customer in ranking ECs is a crucial step towards successful QFD process. We used a novel voting method according linguistic variables for driving relation between CRs and ECs. Finally, the model is illustrated through an example.
