Research on configuration & integration based on generic product structure

To support the classification of self-definition attributes of ordinary components and generic components,a special attribute management model was defined.To represent configuration knowledge effectively,constraint expressions and Boolean tables were used to describe attribute constraints and relationships among generic components.Based on these,a configuration-oriented generic product knowledge model was constructed.During solve the problem of product configuration,constraint-based reasoning strategy was used to compress the search space of configuration constraints and speed up on-line configuration.Also the rules to create directed reasoning graph to describe configuration constraints and the algorithm to execute the reasoning graph were defined.Integration of this configuration with Product Data Management(PDM) system was implemented,and the algorithm of the auto-generation from Generic Bill of Material(GBOM) to BOM was provided as well.Finally,the validity and effectiveness of models and algorithms were verified through a practical application.
