KELIMPAHAN DAN SEBARAN ZOOPLANKTON DI PERAIRAN SEKITAR DERMAGA KUALA STABAS KRUI PESISIR BARAT LAMPUNG

2021
Zooplankton is a planktonic organism that can be one of the indicators of fertility in a water. Changes in water quality will affect the abundance and distribution of zooplankton. This research was conducted to analyze the abundance and distribution of zooplankton in the waters around Kuala Stabas Krui Pier. This research was conducted in January 2021. Zooplankton samples were taken at 9 stations that distributed at inside the pier, outside the pier and towards the Indian Ocean. Data analysis includes abundance and zooplankton distribution, zooplankton ecological index, and cluster analysis. The results indicated that the abundance of zooplankton in the waters around Kuala Stabas Krui Pier tend to increase towards the high seas (Indian Ocean), ranged from 28,309 to 248,782 ind/m3. Types of zooplankton identified in the waters around Kuala Stabas Krui Jetty west coast of Lampung were Calanus, Fish larvae, Limacina, Microsetella, Nauplius, Oithona, Polychaeta, Sagitta. The Ecological Index of zooplankton for Diversity (H'), Similarity (E) and Dominance (C) was categorized as moderate, high, and low criteria, respectively. Zooplankton grouping in these waters obtained 4 clusters of stations based on their abundance value and obtained 5 clusters based on the value of the type of zooplankton. The results of this study showed that the quality of the waters around Kuala Stabas Krui Pier tends to be more productive towards the high seas (Indian Ocean).
