Clinical effect of forearm basilic vein transposition vascular fistula in maintenance hemodialysis patients

2018
Objective To investigate the clinical effects of the forearm basilic vein transposition vascular fistula when the forearm radiocephalic arteriovenous fistula constructed difficultly. Methods The complications, loss rate and patency rate of the 108 cases of the forearm radiocephalic arteriovenous fistula, 27 cases of the forearm basilic vein transposition vascular fistula and 22 cases of the forearm artificial vessel graft fistula constructed in the People’s Hospital of Rizhao city from September 2011 to June 2015 were analyzed retrospectively. Results There was no statistical difference of the clinical data among the three groups (P>0.05). The incidence of vascular stenosis, local hematoma, pseudoaneurysm, thrombosis, access infection and the loss rate in the forearm basilic vein transposition vascular fistula group were less than those in the forearm artificial vessel graft fistula group (P 0.05). The postoperative patency rate of the fistula in the forearm basilic vein transposition vascular fistula group was higher than that of the forearm artificial vessel graft fistula group (P 0.05). Conclusions Compared with the forearm artificial vessel graft fistula, the forearm basilic vein transposition vascular fistula would be an important option for maintenance hemodialysis vascular access when the forearm radiocephalic arteriovenous fistula constructed difficultly.
