Effect of anodes on the performance of YSZ thin film SOFC

The effects of two kinds of anodes on the performance of YSZ thin film solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC) were studied.The YSZ films cells fabricated on NiO-YSZ anode and NiO-SDC-YSZ anode produced open-circuit voltage of 1.09 V and 0.87 V and the maximum power density of 0.86 W/cm2 and 0.16 W/cm2 at 800 ℃,respectively.The total electrode resistance of the cell with NiO-SDC-YSZ anode was 58% higher than that of the cell with NiO-YSZ anode.
