Μοντελοποίηση θεματικών επικεφαλίδων σε οντολογία : η περίπτωση της Βιβλιοθήκης του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου

In this postgraduate thesis, there is an attempt to find and model the relations, which connect the subject headings to their potential subdivisions. Considering this, it has been created an ontology, which contains an amount of the subject headings of the library of the Ionian University. These subject headings are connected to each other, when there is a common subdivision. The ontology was constructed with the contribution of the program Protege. The ultimate purpose was to embody this ontology to an ontology navigation application of semantic web. There is a detailed reference to the Library of Congress and the rules that exist for the creation of subject headings, which they have been used as a standard for the composition of the subject headings of the Library of Ionian University. Thereafter, there is an analysis of the subject headings and a detailed description of the process that followed to create the ontologies.
