An Agent model for metacognitive incentives of learners

2017
The article presents a model of an agent that encourages a learner to improve and develop his/her performance and autonomy of learning. This agent is based on evaluations before, during and after the consultation of a pedagogical support and on certain criteria to trigger the metacognitive incentives. These incentives are necessary to maintain the motivation of the learner and incite them to construct a course reading plan and to choose a learning strategy that is more suited to a learning situation. The criteria which have been used take into account the speed of learning, attention, motivation, confidence, difficulty, the metacognitive level and the result of the learner's diagnostic, formative and summative evaluation. We assign the agent the ability to assess and motivate the learner to plan learning and to choose an appropriate learning strategy.
