Bauteile bewerten : Eignung eines schädigungsmechanischen Konzeptes: das Gurson-Modell

2000
Evaluation of Components - The Gurson Model. Micromechanical models were applied to the evaluation of components for two typical examples in the field of mechanical engineering. The application of the Gurson model to ductile fracture of an austenitic stainless pipeline steel demonstrates that the loading capacity of such components might be assessed more exactly by using such models than by applying conventional elastic-plastic fracture mechanics concepts. On the basis of the example of a forged steel shaft it is shown that the micromechanical parameters can either be obtained directly from investigations on the microstructure of the material or can be determined by comparisons of numerical simulations and respective fracture mechanics testing. This contribution shows that the evaluation of components might generally be improved by applying such models and that small sized specimens are sufficient for the determination of the required micromechanical parameters.
