Process for the oxidation of aromatic compounds to hydroxy compounds.

The present invention discloses a process improved method for the synthesis of compounds aromatic hydroxy by oxidation of a substrate AROMATICO with hydrogen peroxide in a solvent ORGANICO in the presence of synthetic zeolites. IMPROVING This process involves the fact that the said organic solvent is selected from compounds represented by the general formula (I) wherein R 1, R 2, R 3 YR 4 are identical or different and independently chosen DE hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; Or from compounds represented by formula (II) where RY R '' are identical or different and represent an alkyl radical of 1 to 4 carbon atoms.
