The age distribution of the total subjects is as follows: 1263 subjects in sixties (28%), 2231 subjects in seventies (49.5%), 898 subjects in eighties (19.9%), 113 subjects in nineties (2.5%), 4 subjects in >100 (0.1%). The age distribution of the subjects with cognitive dysfunction is as follows: 113 subjects in sixties (16.2%), 280 subjects in seventies (40.1%), 238 subjects in eighties (34.1%), 63 subjects in nineties (9.0%), 4 subjects in >100 (0.6%). The distribution of education level in total subjects is as follows: none (631 subjects, 14.0%), 1−6 years (1226 subjects, 27.2%), 7−9 years (599 subjects, 13.3%), 10−12 years (981 subjects, 21.8%), >13 years (1072 subjects, 23.8%). The distribution of education level in the subjects with cognitive dysfunction is as follows: none (173 subjects, 24.8%), 1−6 years (209 subjects, 29.9%), 7−9 years (102 subjects, 14.6%), 10−12 years (99 subjects, 14.2%), >13 years (115 subjects, 16.5%). The prevalence of cognitive dysfunction was estimated to be 15.5%. The percent of diabetes mellitus in the subjects with cognitive dysfunction is 21.8. the percent of hypertension in the subjects with cognitive dysfunction is 50.5. Education, unemployment, spouse, solitude, alcohol drinking, exercise, diabetes mellitus, stroke history are related to cognitive dysfunction. Conclusion: The prevalence of cognitive dysfunction in Gwacheon city appears to be 15.5%. Risk factors such as unemployment, spouse, solitude, alcohol drinking, exercise, diabetes mellitus, stroke history are related to cognitive dysfunction.
