Preparation of the methyl ether of dl-8,14-seco-D-homo-Δ1,3,5(10),9(11)-stratetraene-3,17aα-diol-14-one and its use in the synthesis of dl-D-homoestrone

1. The synthesis of D-homosteroids from methyl ethers of 8,14-seco-Δ1,3,5(10),9(11)-D-homoestra-tetraene-3, 17a-diol-14-ones was carried out. 2. The methyl ether of 8,14-seco-Δ1,3,5(10)-9,14-oxido-D-homoestratrien-3-ol-17-one was obtained and its transformation into the methyl ether of Δ1,3,5(10),8(9),14(15)-D-homoestrapentaene-3,17aα-dioi was carried out. 3. The possibility of obtaining D-homosteroids from 8,14-secosteroids via 9,14-spiroethers was shown. 4. D-Homo-17aα-hydroxysteroids were obtained and described for the first time.
