Abstract : For application to gas turbine cycle and Rankine cycles in Naval propulsion, measurements and analyses have been conducted of the following topics: heat transfer to mixtures of gases; heat transfer to pulsating, turbulent gas flow, dissociating gas power cycles; heat transfer at a smooth-to-rough transition; numerical prediction of flow and heat transfer from ribbed surfaces; turbulent heat transfer in a swirl flow downstream of an abrupt pipe expansion and heated; laminarizing gas flows.
