An image display device includes: a coordinate detecting unit (41, S14, S16) that detects pressed coordinate positions pressed on the display screen of the display unit (14, 15, 18) that displays an image; a coordinate storing unit (42, 42A, S15, S17) that stores the detected pressed coordinate positions at a predetermined time interval in a time sequence; a pressing cancellation determining unit (41, S12) that, if the display screen is not pressed again before a predetermined pressing cancellation judging time (T2) passes after a pressing on the display screen has been cancelled, determines a cancellation of the pressing on the display screen; and a scroll controlling unit (41, S19, S23, S26, S113) that, after a predetermined delay time (T1) set based on the predetermined pressing cancellation judging time (T2) has passed since the pressing on the display screen started, reads out at the predetermined time interval in the time sequence the pressed coordinate positions stored by the coordinate storing unit (42, 42A, S15, S17) and controls to scroll the image so as to follow a movement of the pressed coordinate positions.
