Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma Presenting with an Extensive Facial Ulcer

2015
The skin is the second most common site of extra nodal NHL, but ulceration is very rare and presents diagnostic difficulty. We report a case of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma of the face with extensive ulceration in a 37 year old lady who presented with an extensive necrotizing facial ulcer with destruction of the nasal bridge and upper lip. The wound biopsy histology showed small and medium size round-oval shaped malignant lymphoid cells positive for CD3 and CD45 but negative for cytokeratin and NSE. This case illustrates an unusual clinical presentation of lymphoma with diagnostic and management pitfalls in a resource limited setting
