The article sets out to analyse the impact, both from teaching and institutional standpoints, meant by the introduction and widespread implementation of on-line training at the university. To attain this aim this article stems from the reflection and the work done on these aspects at different European and American universities and in particular, in the framework of the University of Barcelona to undertake a project of the nature described herein.
