Assessment of the antenatal care for Asian women

Perinatal mortality statistics show disparities between children of mothers from the Indian subcontinent and those of mothers from the UK. This article describes a study of the antenatal care of women whose first language is not English, to ascertain whether they have adequate knowledge to be active participants and suggests improvements in service provision.
