[A Case of Removable Self-Expandable Metallic Stent(SEMS)Placement for Gastric Tube Stenosis after Esophageal Cancer Resection].

Abstract A 68-year-old man underwent esophagectomy for early esophageal cancer. Postoperative upper gastrointestinal series and esophagogastroduodenoscopy showed gastric tube stenosis. To improve passage, a removable self-expandable metallic stent (SEMS) was placed across the stenotic lesion. Two weeks later, the stent was removed, and passage through the gastric tube improved. The patient has no symptoms of stenosis. A removable SEMS could be an option for the treatment of gastric tube stenosis after esophagectomy.
