OH yields for C2H5CO + O2 at low pressure: Experiment and theory

2010
Abstract Kinetics of OH formation for the reaction of C 2 H 5 CO radicals with O 2 have been studied using the low-pressure discharge flow technique coupled with resonance fluorescence monitoring of OH radicals at room temperature in He buffer gas. The OH yields are close to unity at the lowest pressures studied, but decrease rapidly with increasing pressure. The experimental OH yields are reproduced well using multichannel variational RRKM theory.
